I'd be here everyday, if I lived in this hood. Big selection of breads and pastries. One specialty to try are the pasties. We had a beef and rutabaga pastie (really), and it was quite good. The dough is a little thick, but otherwise a terrific item. Would have loved to try other items. Clean shop, easy parking, friendly, knowledgeable people.
Love the Easter Cake's and Bunnies. Great for holiday and a bunny cupcake for all the little's. My orders been placed.
Love this bakery!! Doughnuts are so good, the service is fantastic. The owners are so friendly. This business has stood the test of time for a reason. Have never had anything from them that wasn't delicious.
Some of the best spinach pie I have ever eaten comes from the Monroe Bakery. This includes Greek restaurants in Detroit and the surrounding suburbs. They also do a fabulous job with butter cookies that just melt in your mouth the bread is delicious but you have to get there early if you're looking for a particular kind from desserts to bread to spinach pie you can't go wrong with Monroe Bakery
Enjoyed stopping in to pick up a few baked goodies ahead of Paczki Day March 4. The owner was kind and gave me a run down of all the offerings. I enjoyed my cheese danish, brownie, and loaf of raisin egg bread. Parking is easy and prices are reasonable. Definitely worth a visit!
